With Independence Day just a few weeks away, the Ministry of Home Affairs(MHA) issued a set of guidelines for the Independence Day celebrations and urged the states to go digital for celebrations this year.
In the guidelines, the MHA asked the states to avoid public gatherings and to telecast the events of the celebration, so that, one to one interactions is cut short.
Joint Secretary Anuj Sharma wrote letters to all the States and Union Territories in this regard and urged them to explore the technology while celebrating Independence Day.
The advisory issued by the MHA maintained that a large gathering of the public should be avoided and the celebrations could be webcasted so that the celebrations are reached to everyone.
The MHA urged the public to observe the basic measures and precautions like wearing a face mask, following social distancing, and maintaining proper sanitization so that the disease can be contained.
