Some of the abroad facilities are not implemented in our country. If the child is born, the mother is given leaves but fathers do not get leaves. Western countries have such convenience to take leaves. The central government is planning to implement the same in India.

The Central government is planning to apply this to our country. The negotiations seem to have come to an end. If this is implemented, holidays will be available to men who are fathers.

In Indian labour law, there is no paternity leave for private-sector workers. The central government introduced 15 days paternity leave policy. If the paternity leave is not taken within 6 months of the birth, then it lapses.
