The stage is all set for the Parliament Monsoon sessions. As per the schedule, the sessions will start on the 20th of this month. All eyes are on the sessions as there are a few reports which say that the Bharatiya Janata Party government would table key bills like the Uniform Civil Code(UCC) if everything goes as per planning.
However, the Union Cabinet is expected to go for the reshuffle before the sessions as per the information. It is known that the BJP leadership recently appointed chiefs of the party for various states. The development came in the backdrop of elections due in a few states.
It is known that Union Minister Kishan Reddy was recently appointed as the chief of Telangana by replacing Bandi Sanjay Kumar. Earlier, there were reports that Bandi Sanjay was assured a post at the Central level. Now it is being said that the Cabinet might be reshuffled.
As per the media reports, more than 20 Ministers might miss the spot from the current Cabinet and they will be replaced by new faces. We have to wait and see how the BJP leadership picks the leaders. General elections are due in a few states and Lok Sabha elections should also be conducted. So the BJP should pick candidates considering various aspects.
Talking about the Telugu states, Kishan Reddy is in the Cabinet now and he might be replaced. BJP has now MPs from Andhra Pradesh and in Telangana, it has three MPs, Kishan Reddy is one of them. Kishan Reddy might be replaced.
As Telangana will go for the elections this year, it would be a tough call for the saffron party to find a replacement for Kishan Reddy. If no Telugu MP gets a spot in the cabinet, then it would give a big opportunity for the BRS to target it for ignoring the Telugu states and south.
