More and more Politicians, public representatives getting infected with Covid-19 in AP!
The second wave of novel Coronavirus is raising several concerns and fears of the virus spread in Andhra Pradesh. The public representatives and politicians in the state have been coming in contact with the virus.
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pushpa Srivani and her husband Parikshit Raju were infected with the deadly virus recently and the duo has been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in shore city Vizag.
Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram was also down with the ongoing pandemic. After observing home isolation for some days,e he was shifted to a hospital for better treatment. His wife was also infected with Covid.
People are fearing the virus spread as politicians, public representatives and officials have been getting infected with respiratory disease.
Andhra Pradesh has been reporting cases in big numbers compared to the second wave of the virus during September last year. During the first wave, the highest number of cases the state reported was more than 10,000.
Breaking all the previous records, Andhra Pradesh reported more than 20,000 cases for three consecutive days. The other day, the state reported nearly 15,000 cases with as many as 14,986 cases.
With the new addition of cases, the total cases in the state have gone up to 13,02,589. With 1104431 patients beating the virus, the active cases now stood at 189367. So far, 8791 patients succumbed to the virus.
