More Trouble For Chandrababu In Kuppam

Update: 2020-07-23 04:56 GMT
Is ground slipping from under the feet of TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu in his home turf of Kuppam? Are things becoming too hot for the 7 time MLA and three-time Chief Minister in his own citadel in Chittoor?

The portends seem to be ominous for him these days. Several of his long-time trusted lieutenants in his home constituency of Kuppam are going into hibernation these days. They are either lukewarm or completely silent. All these years, Chandrababu Naidu managed his constituency with the help of leaders like Vidyasagar, Manohar, Shyamraj, MLC Srinivasulu, C Nagaraju and others. They were constituted into a steering committee to manage things. But after the 2019 polls, most of these leaders have become dormant. Some like Shyamraj are talking in terms of joining the YSRCP, while Subramanyam Reddy, who left YSRCP to join TDP ahead of elections, is thinking of going back to his parent party.

Another key TDP leader Muniratnam has already resigned from the party and has joined the YSRCP. Most of these leaders are not even answering calls from Chandrababu Naidu. To add to the problems for the TDP, Chandrababu Naidu could visit his home town only twice during the last year. Clearly, things are not going the way Chandrababu wants them to go in Kuppam.
