Thanks to the real estate boom, the land rates have reached a high point. Buying land or a house in a good locality remains a dream for many, mainly middle-class people. Not just that, given the soaring land prices, safeguarding the lands also became a big concern and headache.
This was proved again, as government land was subjected to land grabbing. The shocking news was reported from Hyderabad's posh area Banjara Hills. The encroachers created a ruckus in Banjara Hills by arriving at the land in multiple vehicles. They are believed to have carried weapons when this happened.
Going into details, a few encroachers made a failed attempt to illegally grab a piece of land at the key area in Banjara Hills. The issue went to the notice of the Banjara Hills and the Police Force showed up at the location and detained the accused who were trying to create a mess.
Upon investigation, a case has been booked against Andhra Pradesh BJP MP TG Venkatesh and his brother's son Vishwaprasad and a few others by the Banjara Hills. The followers and aides of them have believed to scare the security deployed on the piece of land.
It is believed that Vishwaprasad, who happens to be the brother of TG Venkatesh, bought half an acre of land from a person and the person had created forged documents and sold the land to him. As land in Banjara Hills goes for crores, one wonders how Vishwaprasad sealed the deal without a proper background check.
The land that is in the news was allocated to a firm by the then government in combined Andhra Pradesh in 2005. Around two and a half acres of land was given to the AP Gems and Jewellery Park for a venture. However, the venture was not started over the years. Adjacent to this allocated land, a piece of half an acre was allocated for road construction purposes.
Seeing that the land has been open for a long time, a person is said to have created fake documents and sold the same to Vishwaprasad. To occupy the land that they have bought from the fraudster, he arrived there along with his supporters. Seeing security at the spot, they argued and reportedly attacked them later.
