Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Zonal director Sameer Wankhade who was behind busting some of the sensational drugs rackets is facing the heat now after the witnesses in the Mumbai Cruise party case leveled allegations against him of planning to take a bribe from Shah Rukh Khan to release his son Aryan Khan.

As a big trouble for Wankhade, the anti-drug agency Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had called for a probe against him in connection with the alleged bribe allegations. Wankhade is accused of demanding Rs 25 crore as a bribe from Shah Rukh Khan. The vigilance wing of NCB will carry out the probe.

In a statement, the central agency Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said that the probe will be carried out by the team and the vigilance chief of the agency Gyaneshwar Singh will lead the team. Mr. Singh was directed by the NCB Director-General to take care of the probe.

Talking to the media on the probe, Mr. Singh said the probe will be done in such a way that the statements and evidence found in the probe would be recorded and a detailed report on their observations would be submitted. During the media interaction, he was asked if the probe will get impacted if Wankhade continues in the post.

He said that he cannot say anything on this as the probe was started just now. Once the evidence gets in our hands, we will take a call on this. No matter what the allegations were leveled against the agency, we are focused on fighting against drug abuse, he said.

After the allegations against Sameer Wankhade by Prabhakar Sail, one of the witnesses in the case, the NCB official was directed to meet the top official in the agency in the national capital Delhi. It has been widely reported that Wankhade was called to seek an explanation on the sensational allegations.

Earlier, Prabhakar Sail alleged that on the behalf of Sameer Wankhade Shah Rukh Khan was asked to pay a sum of Rs 25 crore to get his son out of the case. Sail even accused that he was forced to sign blank papers and he has a threat.
