Ola Makes Gold in Electric Vehicles Sales, records Rs 1100 Cr

One of the leading Cab service firms, Ola had ventured into electric vehicles and the company had made wonders in the sales of the two-wheeled electric vehicles. In two days, the company had sold vehicles worth Rs 1,100 Crore. An official statement from the company came.

Bhavish Aggarwal, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Ola Electric took to Twitter to announce that Ola had made record sales in a couple of days. Ola recorded record sales on the second day compared to the first day.

On the first day, Ola made sales of Rs 600 crore, while electric vehicles sales worth Rs 700 crore were recorded on the second day. With the vehicle sold out in two days, the company said, pre-booking of the vehicles will be started on the first of November.

"Day 2 of EV era was even better than Day 1! Crossed ₹1100Cr in sales in 2 days! Purchase window will reopen on Nov 1 so reserve now if you haven't already.Thank you India for the love & trust. You are the revolution!" Bhavish Aggarwal said in his tweet.

Sharing their happiness on the record sales, Ola said, the reopening of the sales would be started for Diwali on the 1st of Diwali, while the customers can book their vehicles with an amount of Rs 499.

Ola has launched two flagship electric vehicles S1 and S1 Pro. While the first model is a basic one, the pro model S1 Pro comes with powerful options. The price for S1 and S1 Pro was fixed at Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,29,999 respectively.
