Olympic Village reports first Covid infection

When the organisers of the prestigious Tokyo Olympics are busy making the eloborate arrangements for the game, the Olympic Village reported the first Covid-19 infection. The organisers confirmed the same.

At a press conference that was held on Saturday, Tokyo organising committee spokesperson Masa Takaya told the reporters that first case of Covid was detected at the screening test..

The development came as a shock to the organisers and the fans as the infection was detected six days ahead of the games. As a preventive measure, the infected person was shifted to a hotel. However, the organisers didn't reveal the details of the infected person.

The Chief Organiser of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Seiko Hashimoto told the reporters that they are doing what they can to see that no outbreak will emerge.

If we face any outbreak despite taking all the preventive measures, we will see that we have another plan in hand, Seiko Hashimoto added.

It is a known fact that, the Tokyo Olympics which was scheduled to take place last year went on to get postpone, with the Covid situation.

The organisers are not leaving any stone unturned to see that Olympics are held this year without any obstacles.
