Pakistan's Jazz TV came up with a spoof of Indian Air Force pilot Abhinandan Varthaman, who was held captive by Pakistan for few days during the air strikes, for promoting India-Pakistan World Cup Match which is scheduled to happen soon.
In the Ad, An Abhinandan Varthaman-lookalike wearing an Indian jersey and holding a Tea Cup was seen answering a questionnaire. When asked what would he do if he wins the toss and who will be in the Playing XI, The man says he wasn't supposed to tell that. Then, He was asked about the quality of tea served to him and the answer is, 'fantastic'. When he was asked to leave, The Man wearing Indian Jersey walks away with the cup until he was stopped to snatch the cup in his hands.
This Advertisement is in a bad taste. The Pakistan Channel should have shown some respect for the IAF Pilot who served his nation with utmost commitment.
This isn't the first time such an Advertisement was aired in Pakistan. In March this year, A Karachi-based Tea Brand used a snippet from Abhinandan Varthaman's video to promote itself.
