In a surprise development, Theatrical release of Pawan Kalyan's family flick 'Atharintiki Daredi' has been postponed to August 9th which also coincides with Mahesh Babu birthday. The decision has been officially announced by the makers after getting the Censor clearance on Friday.
It's now official that 'Atharintiki Daredi' will be clashing with Shahrukh Khan's 'Chennai Express' and Vijay's 'Thalaiva' which are scheduled for release on August 9th, to cash in on the Ramzan-Independence Day weekend. As a result, there will be tough competition for screens between these three flicks in territories like Overseas and Bangalore. While 'Chennai Express' is releasing in around 4,500 screens, Thalaiva will be screened in 2,500 screens and 'Atharintiki Daredi' in 1,800 screens Worldwide.
Releasing on August 7th itself could have been a big advantage for 'Atharintiki Daredi' as there are no big films to compete with it till August 9th. The postponement will be a bit minus for sure in the current scenario. Let's see who will have the last laugh in the end!
