Admitting he is not politically experienced, Pawan said that the state government has failed to anticipate the aftermath effects of agitation. Pawan also responded on the death of HCU scholar Rohith Vemula.

Caste politics are there at the university levels and it's a wrong practice. I believe that Rohith committed suicide due to the disappointment on the system."
Pawan refuted rumours about supporting Naidu and said that he didn't come to rescue the chief minister. Pawan had to give a break to his shooting for an urgent press meet.
