PCC chief to be changed in AP too?

Update: 2021-06-29 06:50 GMT
Now that the Congress high command has changed the PCC chief in Telangana, there is talk that a similar exercise would be undertaken in APCC too. There is a buzz that the AICC is unhappy with the lacklustre leadership of the present PCC chief, S Shailajanath, and wants to replace him.

The party did not organise any protest or take up any programme after Shailajanath took over as the PCC chief. There used to be some activity or the other when Raghuveera was at the helm of the affairs. He has now retired from active politics and is confined to his native village. Shailajanath did not organise any programme on any major issue in AP. As a result, some senior leaders are questioning his ability to lead the party. Meanwhile, Central party observer Oomen Chandy, who made a two-day visit to AP, too seems to be supporting the view that the PCC chief should be changed. He is likely to submit a report to the High Command about the situation in AP and is likely to recommend a new PCC chief.

The Congress Party is all but buried in AP after the state was divided and Telangana was carved out. The party went out of power in both the Telugu states. The situation in AP is far too worse as the Congress party could not save its security deposit even in a single constituency in 2019 elections. It polled less than one per cent votes.
