Mission Reclaim: Petition on Mathura Disputed Land Filed!

Update: 2022-05-19 11:05 GMT
A few Hindu groups and Right-wing sympathizers have been fighting to reclaim the temples which they think were destroyed by the Muslim leaders. Compared to others, three such temples get more attention, are Ayodhya Ram Mandir, Kashi Vishwanath Temple, and Mathura temple. Ayodhya's verdict came in favor of the Hindus already.

The issue of the Kashi Gyanvapi mosque is pending with the court as the survey to find if there are any Hindu idols beneath the mosque is underway. Going by the court orders, the commission is surveying with video proofs. A Shivalinga was reportedly found in the survey and the court directed the government to safeguard the place where the Shivalinga was found.

The Mathura issue is in the news as a petition which says that the land where the Shahi Idgah Mosque stands belongs to them was filed in a district court. Along with Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust, a few others also filed the petition.

Just like the Ayodhya case, the Mathura row deals with the piece of land which is being claimed by both the Temple board and the masjid board. Back in the 1960s, an agreement was made between the two parties that they will not create any issues on the matter.

The petition which was filed in the district court says that the agreement made by both parties stands no legal authority as the disputed land belongs to the Temple Trust. Now all eyes are on the court.
