Post-Delhi Polls, It's Time For Federal Front Again

Update: 2020-02-13 04:20 GMT
Telangana CM KCR is fired up on all cylinders especially after the massive victory of the AAP in Delhi. Sources say KCR had predicted this landslide. In fact, on January 25, he had told the media that the AAP will win the polls, while the BJP will bite the dust. Now that his prediction has come true, he is said to be planning to bring the CMs of various states on an anti-CAA platform.

Party sources indicated that KCR might soon call a meeting of the CMs and the parties opposed to the CAA. In all likelihood, the meeting could be held in Hyderabad with KCR hosting it. With the BJP getting increasingly weakened by successive defeats in various states and with the Congress showing no signs of a revival, KCR feels that now is the time for the regional parties to get their act together. He feels that he has a role cut out at the Centre especially in the present scenario. In fact, KCR had mooted this idea during the Lok Sabha elections. However, the massive victory of the BJP had put paid to all these ideas as the BJP did not need the support of the regional parties. Now, the chances of his moving to the national politics appears imminent, claim some political  watchers.

In another development, TRS working president KTR had congratulated Arvind Kejriwal of the Aam Admi Party on his stupendous success in Delhi elections.
