Congress leader, former party chief Rahul Gandhi who is a fierce critic of the BJP over the COVID-19 crisis and escalating border tensions with Chinese troops, once again launched his attack on the Central government led by Prime Minister Narendra.
Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter and made a list of mistakes made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He named the steps taken by Narendra Modi as Modi-made disasters
"India is reeling under Modi-made disasters: Historic GDP reduction -23.9%; Highest Unemployment in 45 years; 12 crore job loss; center not paying states GST dues; globally highest COVID-19 daily cases, deaths; external aggression at our borders," Rahul Gandhi's Tweet read.
His attack came days after the Centre released the GDP data for Q1 of 2020/21 which stated that the Gross domestic product(GDP) fell by a record 23.9 percent. This is the lowest GDP in the last 40 years.
Talking about the deadly impact left by the Coronavirus on the economy, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman called it as "Act of God". Rahul Gandhi took a dig at her comment too.
Looks like Rahul Gandhi is referring to the study carried out by a New York-based finance company claimed that 12 crore Indians turned unemployed.
He even found fault with the Centre not paying the Goods and Service Tax(GST) dues to the state governments with the impact left by the pandemic on the economy.
Rahul Gandhi also mentioned India, which is the third worst-affected country with Coronavirus pandemic as around 70,000 fresh pandemic cases were reported in a single day.
He also slammed the Central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not dealing with the escalating border tensions properly. He mentioned about the aggressive behavior of China.
