Rain shuts down Chennai Software Sector

Software industries in Chennai  have been effecting badly with employees failing to report to duty after the city witnessed severe waterlogging due to incessant rains. Chennai rains have emerged as a serious challenge to the tech industry based in the city.

Since travelling in the city has become a tedious task, most of the employees have not been turning up at their work places. Other side the clients are pressurizing the companies for completion of the work

With no other option but to bear the brunt, most of the companies are shifting their critical resources to other cities and asking to work from there.

Though the IT companies allowed  their employees the working from home, it does not seem to work currently as most areas in the city are facing long power cuts and there was no internet connection in many areas. Many top MNC'S have already sent its key employees to banglore.

All top companies like IBM, Infosys, Cognizant have requested their top employees to shift to Bengaluru and made necessary arrangements.According the Tamil Nadu government, the estimated damage due to rain is a whopping Rs. 8,481 Cr.
