Ray Tomlinson who is behind the invention of e-mail passed away at the age of 74. Reportedly, He died due to heart attack on Saturday.
In 1971, The US-based Computer Programmer Ray got the idea of sending electronic messages from one network to the other. He was also instrumental in using '@' symbol in e-mail. He sent the first e-mail for research company 'Bolt' while working in Boston. This company has played a prominent role in in developing the initial version of internet which is known as Arpanet.
Notably, Ray Tomlinson couldn't remember what's the message he conveyed in his first e-mail. But, It did comment what he wrote in it was completely forgettable.
