Surveys on Kakinada, RC Puram stun Chandrababu

Update: 2023-07-11 10:41 GMT
The latest surveys commissioned by Chandrababu Naidu have confirmed his worst fears.  The surveys have said that all is not well within the TDP in two of the assembly constituencies in undivided East Godavari district that he was pretty confident about. The survey has shown that the YSRCP is comfortably placed in both Kakinada city and Ramachandrapuram assembly constituencies.

In Ramachandrapuram, Minister Chelluboyina Venugopal has been shown to be quite popular with the voters. He appears to have a clear edge over the TDP. His son Nareen is easily accessible to the people of the constituency and Venu's friendly demeanor is winning friends. On the other hand, TDP incharge and former MLC Reddy Subramanyam remains inaccessible to even party workers and supporters.

What is worse, he stays put in Kothapeta and occasionally visits Ramachandrapuram. His movements are not known even to the party's senior leaders in the constituency, the survey revealed.  Similarly, in the all-important Kakinada constituency, incumbent YSRCP candidate Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy is shown by the survey to be holding sway over the voters.

TDP incharge and former MLA  Vanamadi Venkateswarlu aka Kondababu is inaccessible. The survey has shown that he is more focused on his businesses than on party affairs. If sources are to be believed, Chandrababu is looking for alternatives in both the constituencies. At the same time, he does not want to offend the well-entrenched party incharges either.
