Update: 2021-05-02 11:38 GMT
The frontline workers are the unsung warriors in India's fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. They have been working relentlessly for more than one year in treating the Covid-19 patients.

As a highly condemnable gesture, the Play Bold Army Royal Challengers Bangalore has decided to show solidarity with the frontline workers by donning the blue jersey in one of the IPL matches.

Taking to Twitter RCB announced the same. The decision was taken to lend a helping hand for the health infrastructure in the country, which was severely hit by the second wave of the Covid-19.

"RCB has identified key areas where much needed help is required immediately in healthcare infrastructure related to Oxygen support in Bangalore and other cities, and will be making a financial contribution towards this,” Virat Kohli said in the video.

"This season RCB is going to be sporting a special Blue jersey in 1 of the upcoming matches with key messaging on the match kit to pay our respect & show solidarity to all the front line heroes who have spent last year wearing PPE kits & leading the fight against the pandemic," RCB's tweet reads.

Seeing the devastating situations caused by the novel Coronavirus, cricketers like Pat Cummins, Brett Lee, Sachin Tendulkar, Pandya brothers have come forward to help India in the tough situation.
