Re-Polling In Mahabubnagar

Repolling will be held in 198th polling centre in ward no 41 after tender votes were polled during the municipal elections. The district election officer suspended five employees for being negligent. The officials are making arrangements for the conduct of repolling on 24th January. Thirty member staff have been deployed to distribute vote slips. Tender votes have been polled in 101 polling centre of ward no 41 in Kamareddy. Officials are planning to hold re-polling in the polling centre.  

According to the State Election Commission, an average of 72 percent voting was recorded in 120 municipalities and nine municipal corporations. The highest turnout was seen in Pochampally municipality and the lowest was in Nizampet municipal corporation 40 percent. The total number of voters in urban local bodies is 49,74,589 which includes 24,89698 male, 24,84,587, female, 313 others.
