Reliance Jio Holding Talks To Bring Back PUBG To India

Update: 2020-09-26 06:20 GMT
Intense action game PUBG was banned because it was being distributed by Chinese firm Tencent in India. The Indian government earlier this month banned PUBG Mobile in the country under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act.

According to reports, the gaming company is looking for a local partner to resume operations in India. PUBG Corporation is holding talks with Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Ltd's (RIL) to bring the popular multiplayer game back on the mobile screens of its Indian fans.

The talks are currently in the early stages and both the companies are working out the circumstances as to how a deal might be structured.

There are two prospects, for now, the first being a 50:50 revenue split and the second one being that Reliance Jio assures PUBG Corporation earnings based on a fixed number of users every month.
