The counting of ZPTCs and MPTCs was started today across the state. Unlike municipal poll results, here seems to be tug of war situation between the YSRCP and the TDP.
In Seemandhra, TDP is leading with 745 MPTCs and is closely followed by YSRCP with 641. TDP leaders say the results are fast arriving from rayalaseema region which is the reason for slender lead and they are confident that TDP will ahead in race once the results from other areas start arriving.
In Telangana, Congress was leading the tally in early hours but by afternoon, TRS rushed in to the top spot. According to recent trends, TRS has bagged 335 while Congress is closely following with 280. TDP is in distant third with winning 89 MPTCs
Since the polling is done with ballot papers, counting is getting delayed. Likely, we will know the results of all mptcs by this evening while ZPTCs results will be known by tonight at 10pm.The ZPTC and MPTC elections were held on April 6 and 11 respectively.
