Revolutionary Writer And Singer Vangapandu Passes Away

Revolutionary writer and singer Vangapandu Prasada Rao has passed away. He was 77. He died of ill health in his residence at Pedabondapalli of Parvatipuram Mandal, Vizianagaram district on Tuesday morning.

He was famous for his composition, singing, dancing, and acting. His revolutionary songs Yantrametta Nadudustundatte, Jajjenka Janare, Em Pillado, etc were still liked by most of the people.

He was popularly known as 'Vangapandu' in the northern coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh. In addition, he actively participated in the communist movement.

Popular singer and revolutionary Gaddar mourned over the death of Vangapandu. On the other hand, he sang over 300 songs in three decades and his songs have been translated into 10 languages.
