Rohit Sharma Surpasses Worst Record held by Ireland Players

Update: 2022-02-28 15:55 GMT
Serving white-ball captain of India Rohit Sharma had added and made several records to his name. His career took a massive turn when he was sent as an opener, thanks to the thinking of former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. If he had not taken the decision, then we would have not got an opener like Sharma.

He had earlier established himself as a promising player in world cricket with his batting prowess. Rohit Sharma is the only player to have three double centuries in the ODI format. Now, he proved to the world that he is a good leader as well with a stunning track record and stats.

Amid recording back-to-back whitewash wins as the captain, Rohit Sharma had added two unwanted records to his name. After losing his wicket for 5 runs in the last T20 against Sri Lanka, Rohit Sharma had surpassed the record held by Ireland player Kevin O'Brien for getting out for single-digit for most times.

While the former Irish player Kevin O'Brien held the record of getting out for single-digit score for the highest number of times with 44 times, Hitman broke that record with 45 times.

As another worst record, Rohit Sharma has now become the player with the highest number of outs with single digits in the short format. 28 outs was the previous highest held by Irish player Paul Stirling. Going past that, Rohit Sharma lost his wicket 29 times.
