AP Government established 100 Anna Canteens across the state in the first phase. Two months before this happened, YCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy had set up 'Rajanna Canteens' in Mangalagiri to provide nutritious food (Rice, Veg Curry, Dal, Chips, Egg, Banana) for just Rs 4. He is keen to launch Tiffins Section as well very soon. Few other YCP MLAs have been running such Canteens already.
And Today, MLA RK Roja officially announced her plans to establish 'YSR Canteens' across her Nagari Constituency. She decided to contribute her hard-earned money for the good initiative.
Roja alleged TDP Government hasn't sanctioned funds for development works in the constituencies represented by YCP MLAs. She added, 'This is why I have been using my money for welfare programmes. In the past, I had set up coolers & RO Plants in Nagari Government Hospital, Hostels, Women's Junior College. Financial Assistance was provided to 10 Families by Me to run roadside stalls'.
Opposition MLAs who have been setting up Canteens with the noble intention to provide nutritious food to the poor at subsidized prices deserves all the appreciation they were receiving from the public. Hopefully, They inspire many others to take part in the social service!
