Former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy is fast turning out to be an enigma. His ways are inscrutable. He is close to every politician and has friends everywhere. But, he claims that he does not belong to any party. Sometimes, he talks about forming a new party and yet other times, he talks about quitting politics. His latest foray is in "White Challenge."
Konda Vishweshwar Reddy is from a political family. An industrialist, he contested as an MP on TRS ticket from Chevella and won. He was estranged from the party leadership and joined the Congress. In 2019, he contested and lost on a Congress ticket. After a hiatus, he is back into politics, but keeps sending mixed signals. Sometimes he speaks in favour of the Congress and sometimes BJP.
He has said that he would work with Teenmaar Mallanna. But that did not happen. He has also said that he would work with the Congress if Revanth Reddy becomes the PCC chief. Though he met Revanth twice after the latter became the PCC chief, he has not joined the Congress Party. At the same time, he has taken part in the dharna organised by BJP's G Vivek. He also said that he would work for the victory of BJP's Eatala Rajender in Huzurabad.
His latest move is to throw the White Challenge, which is meant to ensure drug-free politics. He has thrown the challenge to BJP chief Bandi Sanjay and BSP state coordinator RS Praveen Kumar. His move is aimed at cornering KTR. Interestingly, KTR did not take up the White Challenge on Monday. Konda's moves are not just confusing the people, but are also confounding politicians alike. Will the real Konda Vishweshwar Reddy come out?
