A day before the murder of Sheena Bora, Indrani Mukherjea, Her Second Husband Sanjeev Khanna and Driver did a recce of the spot where the body should be dumped.
As per the version of Mumbai police, Sheena Bora reached the spot where her mother Indrani Mukherjea wanted to meet her for discussing something on April 24th, 2012. Indrani has forced Sheena into the car, she was given sedatives and then Sanjeev Khanna had strangled her. Later, Sheena's face has been smashed, her body was burnt and took it in a suitcase to Raigad forests to dump it. A month later, The suitcase with Sheena's decomposed remains were found by few villagers. But, Police take it seriously and said it is an unclaimed body.
For an year after the murder of Sheena, Indrani made everyone believe Sheena was alive and staying in the US by using her daughter's phone to send text messages and even used forged documents to prove her claims were true.
Cops were trying their best to make the Driver turn into an approver in the case, so that Indrani Mukherjea and Sanjeev Khanna will face maximum punishment for the crime.
