Have you seen both KCR and KTR together on any dais of late? The founding president and the working president of TRS/BRS have not been seen together after the TRS changed its name to the Bharat Rashtra Samity (BRS). This has sent the rumour mill on an overdrive and there is a buzz that all is not well between the two.
KCR skipped the renaming. He also absented himself from the inauguration of the BRS office in Delhi. He also was not present when leaders from Andhra Pradesh joined the BRS. Except for some tweets, KTR appears to keep away from the BRS. The latest is that he would not be attending the BRS public meeting in Khammam. KTR has already left for Switzerland to attend some programmes.
Sources say that KTR strongly feels that the BRS is a big liability and that the diehard TRS supporters and the party cadre have by and large remained lukewarm to the name change. He reportedly feels that the name change will rob the party of its main plank â Telangana regionalism. He is said to be of the opinion that the BRS would lose the support of Telangana voters.
KTR's absence at the prestigious meeting is being seen as a significant development. He has chosen to visit Switzerland at a time when the party is staking its everything to mobilise at least five lakh people to the public meeting which is being organised in Khammam district, which lies in the intersection of the Andhra and the Telangana regions.
