Watch: Smriti Irani pays Rs 100 to Cobbler!

Union Minister Smriti Irani paid Rs 100 to a cobbler who repairs her slippers on Saturday. The cobbler who asked for only Rs 10 for his service has put in additional stitches to the chappal upon being paid extra money. This video has now gone viral on the social media.

Reportedly, Smriti Irani's slipper strap got broken when she reached Coimbatore in a flight to visit the Isha Foundation. She finally found a cobbler at a distance of 16 kilometers from the airport. Immediately, The Minister got down from her vehicle at Perur and asked the cobbler if he can repair her slipper. As the cobbler obliged her request, She sat on a small stool arranged at the shop.

Smriti Irani herself kept the Rs 100 note near his cash box and told him to keep the change. Netizens appreciated Irani's grounded nature and kind gesture.
