Senior IAS Officer Somesh Kumar is said to be very close to the BRS government. He held various positions and also served as the chief secretary of Telangana. When he was allotted to Andhra Pradesh when Telangana was carved out of the combined state, he approached the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) challenging this.
Now the news is that Somesh Kumar is likely to get a plum post in the government and might get appointed as the advisor to the Chief Minister. It has been widely reported that everything was planned and the orders regarding the same would be announced at the earliest.
The BRS party took the upcoming elections in the state prestigious and also wants to shine in national politics. It would be an added advantage if someone like Somesh Kumar would be with the government. He has a better understanding of the state and various issues which is a benefit.
