Startup stats bust Telangana government's claims

Is the TRS Government claim of AP being the hot destination for IT mere hype and hoopla? Are other cities and IT hubs leaving Hyderabad far too behind? Why is there a difference between the Telangana Government's tall claims and the reports of the Fin Tracker Media speak otherwise? Why is  the pearl city of South India, Hyderabad, not becoming the startup hub.

The latest report on startup funding by Fin Tracker Media hassaid that Hyderabad is way too down below. It has studied the funding of the start-ups in 10 major cities including Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Jaipur, Hyderbad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Patna and Hyderabad. In this report,  Hyderabad is placed below Jaipur city.

In fact, Bengaluru got 647 startups  in 2021. These could raise  a fund of Rs 20.25 K crore. The growth over the last year is an impressive 53 per cent. Delhi is placed second in the list with 431 startups worth Rs 8.97 thousands. Mumbai, Pune, Chennai and Jaipur stood third, fourth, fifth and sixth respectively. Hyderabad stood seventh with just 47 startups worth Rs 210 crore.

This is quite contrary to the claims made by the Government in Telangana. Is the state government too following the TDP government before 2004, which revelled in crunching bloated statistics that were eagerly lapped up by the pliant media?
