Sushma Breaks Down In Parliament Discussing Jadhav's Issue

Update: 2017-12-28 11:33 GMT
The Indian foreign minister Sushma Swaraj has delivered a powerful speech in the parliament today. She discussed the way Pakistan treated the family of the former Naval officer Kulbhushan Jadhav when they were in their country to meet Jadhav. Kulbhushan Jadhav was forced to see his mother and wife in the form of widows without their mangalsutra, bindi and bangles when they met him in Islamabad on Monday. Sushma Swaraj, in her speech, has mentioned the same and also became emotional for a moment while revealing few more incidents that took place during the meet.

In her speech, Sushma Swaraj told that the Pakistan government has treated Jadhav's family in the most objectionable manner and criticised the way Pakistan has behaved. Jadhav was terrified to see his mother without bindi and mangalsutra and he immediately asked his mother if his father was alright.

Pakistan proudly announced that they have supported for the reunion of a mother with her son and a wife with her husband but Sushma Swaraj has ruled out their statement telling that Pakistan has neglected the humanity. She continued her speech telling that there was a violation of human rights and Pakistan should be condemned in the strongest words for this behaviour.

Jadhav interacted with his family for the first time since his arrest last year by Pakistan. The women were not allowed to use the native Marathi language and Pakistan officials repeatedly interrupted before the intercom was finally switched off. Sushma Swaraj raised this point and added that Jadhav's shoes which were taken away were never returned.

Sushma Swaraj has made her statements clear and assured that her government is going to bring back Jadhav safely to the country.
