One of the twin cities Secunderabad reported a massive fire mishap. A fire broke out at the multi-storied commercial complex in the city and spread to adjacent buildings as well. The area was filled with thick smoke due to the mishap. Rescue teams reached the spot to deal with the situation.
The mishap was reported from the Deccan Sports Store located in a five-storied building and other shops at Nallagutta. The locals ran in fear looking at the fear and smoke. The rescue teams were informed about this and they reached the spot. It is said that no casualties are reported in the mishap.
Telangana Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav reacted to this and said that sticking clothes material is the reason behind the mishap. Stocking the materials in the building is making it tough for the rescue teams to deal with the situation, the Minister said.
Adding further, the Cabinet Minister said that the Police department and rescue teams are working together to bring the situation under control. Talasani also said that it would take two to three hours to deal with it and there is nothing to worry about.
It is said that around 20 fire engines were deployed to deal with the situation. Though the smoke was brought under control from one side of the building and work is underway to deal with the fire on the rest of the sides of the structure.
All the shops in the RamGopalpet area were shut as a precautionary measure due to the thick smoke. The traffic in the area was also stopped by the Police.
