TANA Elections: Satish and his team emerged victorious

Telugu Association of North America (TANA) Elections created a lot of tension and anxiety among the NRIs.Candidates who vying for the post  campaigned heavily .Ram Yalamanchili from Dallas, Texas and Satish Vemana from Northern Virginia contested for the post of Executive Vice President, who will automatically become President two years later. Vote counting process started on Saturday afternoon in Boston and the final winner was out.

Satish Vemana is declared as the winner for the post of Executive Vice President and he defeated Ram with majority of more than 5,000 votes. Sateesh will automatically become the President two years later.While Satish got 8257 votes Mr. Ram Yalamanchili  got 3137 votes.

For the post of Secretary, Satish's team member Madhu Tata got 7039 votes while Baktha Balla got 4235 votes. For the Treasurer's post Murali Vennam got 7187 votes where as Mr. Paturi got 4033 votes.

Ravi Potluri won as Joint Secretary with 7934 votes while opponent Bullaiah Chowdary got 3293 votes. Satesh Vemanna have been carrying good image among Telugus and he has raised millions of dollars  for TAAN and also helped TriValley University students of Northern Virginia get back to academics when they were cheated by touts.
