The first day of the Winter sessions of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly made it to the headlines after the actions of TDP Lawmakers made the Assembly speaker suspend 12 MLAs including party chief Chandrababu Naidu.

When the house was discussing the problems faced by the public due to the impact of the Nivar cyclone, the opposition Telugu Desam Party(TDP) alleged that they are not given the chance to speak on the issue.

In a bid to protest against not given a chance to speak in the house, the TDP leaders, including former Chief Minister Chandrababu staged a sit-in in front of the Speaker's podium in the Assembly.

As a result, Speaker Tammineni Seetaram suspended Chandrababu Naidu and other Lawmakers K Atchannaiudu, Payyavula Keshav, Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary, Nimmala Rama Naidu, Adireddy Bhavani, Velagapudi Ramakrishna, Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy, Mantena Rama Raju, Yeluri Sambasiva Rao, Gadde Rammohan, Jogeswara Rao, Anagani Satya Prasad, and Bendalam Ashok for a day from the house.

The ruckus took place after Chandrababu Naidu tried to speak when a TDP MLA Nimmala Rama Naidu is questioning the government over the measures taken by the government to tackle the Nivar situation.

The ruling party lawmakers found fault with the TDP behavior in the house. They said, how come Naidu speaks in between when his party lawmaker is raising a question.
