TDP Targets Muslim YSRCP Leaders

Update: 2020-04-01 05:36 GMT
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Amjad Basha and Guntur MLA Mustafa are now in the eye of the storm for their role in the controversial Tabligh-e-Jamaat meeting in the Markaz masjid in Delhi's Nizamuddin area. This meet is now being seen as a 'super spreader' of the virus as most of those who attended this meet have come back corona infected. Five deaths in Telangana, three deaths in Karnataka and one death in Delhi are from among those who attended this meet.

The Telugu Desam and the media close to it are attacking both Amjad Basha and Mustafa (who is now in self-quarantine). They say that both these leaders not only backed the Tabligh meeting, but Amjad Basha had even gone to Delhi to supervise the arrangements. As for Mustafa, his close relatives had attended the meeting. As if to control the damage, deputy CM Amjad Basha has asked all those who attended the Markaz meeting to get in touch with the authorities and get tested for Corona.  He said over 700 persons from AP had attended the meet and the whereabouts of at least 85 people are not known.  He said that the samples have shown that at least 65 of the 138 people have tested Corona positive.

Meanwhile, Amjad Basha has once again requested the Muslims who attended the Markaz meeting to inform the authorities and get tested. He said there was nothing to worry and there needs to be no fear. He asked them to cooperate with the Government.
