TDP Trapped In YSRCP Game?

Update: 2020-08-04 05:45 GMT
YSRCP is showing that it does not lag behind in playing political games. It has shown that it has the verve and the punch needed to put the rivals on the mat. Even as the three capitals issue is raging in Andhra Pradesh, the YSRCP has dared the TDP to make all its MLAs resign and seek re-election to show that the people are with it on the issue of Amaravati.

Now, this is something that Chandrababu Naidu cannot do. Firstly, he is not sure if all the MLAs follow him. Already three MLAs, including Vallabhaneni Vamsi and Karanam Balaram have joined the YSRCP. Secondly, at least four more MLAs are planning to join the YSRCP. Also, the four MLAs elected from the North Andhra region may not oppose the shifting of the capital to Vizag for obvious reasons. They cannot sacrifice their political life for Chandrababu. These people might revolt against Chandrababu. That would make him lose the Leader of the Opposition status. Assuming that only 15 or 16 MLAs resign and seek re-election, one is not sure as to how many of them actually win.

If some of the TDP candidates lose, the YSRCP can always claim that there is no support among the people for the Amaravati issue. Both ways, the TDP would lose. This in short, is the YSRCP strategy and Chandrababu as of now, seems to have no answer to this.
