YSR Congress Plenary used to be held in a low-key manner at Idupulapaya in the past. This year, Party Leadership has given enough importance to the annual conclave as general elections are scheduled to happen in less than two years. After the district-level plenaries, A mega plenary is being planned in Guntur with over 30,000 party leaders and cadre.
As per media reports, TDP Leadership got alerted upon coming to know about the grand arrangements for YSRC Plenary. CM seems to have directed Intelligence Wing to enquire where did the money spent for plenary come from and had if the Main Opposition is received funding from Industrialists. Decreasing gap between TDP & YCP in the recent surveys has been making the ruling party leaders cope with sleepless nights. And now, YCP Plenary & it's after-effects were worrying them.
