South African player AB de Villiers, who plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League(IPL) had surprised everyone by announcing retirement from all forms of cricket on Friday. Through a tweet, he broke the news. He said he is lacking the flame to play the game as he turned 37 now.
Virat Kohli, who has been playing with AB De for the RCB for the last decade said that the decision would hurt his heart as considers him as his brother. He said, their bonding goes beyond the game. However, he said, despite the pain AB de Villiers's retirement causes, the decision is the best for him and his family.
Virat Kohli added that he gave everything to the team and what he had done for the team cannot be described in words. I will miss playing alongside and the Chinnaswamy Stadium will miss cheating for you, Virat Kohli said in his Instagram post.
