This is how Jagan outwitted Telangana Government

Update: 2020-05-19 06:40 GMT
AP chief minister has proved to be a tough customer to deal with. No less a person than the foxy KCR understands this today. After putting in place works to draw 3 TMC from Pothireddypadu diversion scheme, he ensured that the reaction from Telangana government is at best muted.

The KCR government all along knew that the diversion of  Srisailam waters is well within the allocated share of AP government and could not really raise its voice. The moment it raised alarm under pressure from the BJP and the Congress, YS Jagan checkmated him by raising questions about the diversion of Krishna water upstream of Srisailam by the Telangana Government. The government had to go on its backfoot. Under-pressure KCR was again silenced by the AP government as it raised questions over the legality of Kaleswaram Lift Irrigation project built on Godavari water. By bringing Godavari water sharing into question, Jagan has effectively checkmated the TRS government.

Those in the know say that both Kaleswaram and Pothireddypadu diversion are a quid pro quo between the two Telugu CMs. Jagan will allow Kaleshwaram while KCR has to remain silent on Pothireddypadu. As for the objections from the Congress, it is the Congress, which conceptualized both the projects when YSR was the CM. Now, the politicos and Telugu biggies realize that Jagan is no mere pushover.
