This is how Komatireddy is preparing for bypolls

Update: 2022-09-01 06:09 GMT
Komatireddy Rajagopala Reddy, without doubt, is fighting the toughest battle of his life. He has a political future in the BJP only if he wins the bypoll. He can prove a point to the Congress Party, which has sidelined him, only when he emerges victorious. He can defeat the TRS designs only when he comes out successful in the bypoll. So, he is pulling all stops to win the elections this time.

A seasoned politician that he is, Rajagopala Reddy knows that once the poll notification is issued, the TRS will use the district administration and the police to cut all his funding sources and obstruct all his money distribution channels. He would not be allowed to distribute money to the voters and the local leaders. So, sources say that he has already begun distribution of money to both local leaders and the votes in general.

Highly placed sources say that he has already begun paying fixed amounts to mandal level, village level and taluk level leaders. Similarly, the money meant for the voters has also been parked at 'safe' places. So, even if the TRS government and the police try hard, they would not be able to cut off the distribution of money to the voters. Sources say that Rajagopal Reddy has learnt from Eatala Rajender's experience in Huzurabad bypoll. He is said to be ensuring a fool-proof system to ensure that the money reaches the last man.

Sources say that Rajagopal Reddy has already "purchased" several TRS leaders. He had paid them money to secretly work for the BJP. They will remain in the TRS and campaign for the TRS , but will make their supporters vote for the BJP on the polling day. Rajagopal Reddy feels he can upstage the TRS with these strategies. Time alone will tell whether Reddy would be able to outwit the TRS.
