There is one great similarity between Telangana CM KCR and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan. During the agitation for a separate Telangana state, KCR used to perform special poojas in West Godavari's Kovvur. That Kovvur is in Andhra region did not matter to him. Similarly, Pawan Kalyan, who is politically active in Andhra Pradesh, begins all his programmes from Kondagattu in Telangana's Karimnagar.
On 24th of January, Pawan Kalyan will be in Kondagattu to perform pooja for his specially designed vehicle 'Varahi' at the Hanuman temple. Varahi is going to be Pawan Kalyan's campaign vehicle for the 2024 assembly elections. So his campaign in AP will take off from Kondagattu in Karimnagar district of Telangana.
Pawan will also visit Dharmapuri temple later as part of his 'Anushtup Narasimha Yatra'. As per this ritual, Pawan will offer prayer and worship lord Narasimha Swamy in 32 temples across the Telugu states. This too is being seen as a preparatory for the 2024 election campaign, according to sources close to Pawan.
Pawan Kalyan has a great belief in Kondagattu temple. During the 2009 elections, his suffered electric shock while campaigning at Kondagattu. Electric wires snapped and fell on his vehicle. Pawan believes that he was saved only due to the grace of Lord Hanuman of Kondagattu. Since then, he has been regularly visiting the Kondagattu temple.
