The news of a mother marrying her son in Malaysia has been widely circulating on social media recently. A post from the Twitter account of Rajashree Selvakumar posted that her 1st husband died when her son was just 12 years old and her age was 30 then.

Since then, the mother and son were living together and her son surprised her by asking the mother to marry him. Her mother accepted his proposal and got married in 2016. Now, they have a 3-year-old son.

However, the viral post turned out to be untrue. After fact-checking, it was found that the photos circulating were taken by Malaysian couple Pratilasmi Selvaraj and Sela Rajendra.

The couple married in 2017 after a nine-year relationship. The couple was shocked to learn that their photos were being misrepresented. Sela Rajendra lodged a complaint with the police against these fake posts.
