Another horrific incident where a municipal body vice-chairman is said to have sexually harassed a minor girl. The incident was reported from Telangana and after the issue came to light, the vice-chairman was booked by the cops.
According to the media reports, the Municipal Council vice-chairman reportedly belongs to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party. When the issue was exposed, the accused reportedly went missing and the cops are after him to apprehend him.
It is also said that the incident happened last month, but came to light lately. The victim is just 15 years old and the accused got support from a woman who helped the Municipal Chairman to take the victim to the state capital Hyderabad.
When the victim told her parents what happened, they did not waste any time and reached out to the child helpline. Following the standard procedure, the victim was sent to the medical examination. The test reports reportedly confirm the assault and based on the same a case under Indian Penal Code Section 376 and Pocso act has been filed.
