TTD EO's Counter to Pawan Kalyan's Remark

A controversy erupted over the appointment of North Indian IAS Officer Anil Kumar Singhal as the Executive Officer (EO) of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). Especially, Media began highlighting the issue after Pawan Kalyan questioned, 'Why a North Indian was preferred for such a crucial post in a shrine located in South India?'.

Anil Kumar Singhal took the charge from outgoing EO D Sambasiva Rao at the Ranganayakula Mandapam. Later, He had the darshan of Lord Balaji and sought the blessings of temple priests. He even held a meeting with officials of various departments at Annamayya Bhavan. The term of Mr. Singhal as 25th EO of TTD lasts for a period of 2 years. AP Government decided to uses the services of Outgoing EO in other way. Sambasiva Rao was appointed as Revenue Special Chief Secretary in AP Capital Amaravati.

Speaking to media persons, Anil Kumar Singhal opined that every official should carry out their duty just like serving the devotees in a hill shrine like Tirumala. He promised to ensure hassle free darshan for the devotees.

Earlier, Anil Kumar Singhal worked as Resident Commissioner in AP Bhavan in New Delhi.
