Twitter, Facebook Blocks Trump Posts Over Coronavirus

Update: 2020-08-06 08:43 GMT
Facebook and Twitter took down a video posted by US President Trump on the coronavirus. Facebook Inc on Wednesday said the video has violated its rules against sharing misinformation about the coronavirus.

In a interview with Fox & Friends, Trump commented that schools in the United States should be reopened because children have a high level of immunity so they don't get contacted with the virus. But both social media companies are of the opinion that the report is wrong.

Trump posted the same video on his Facebook account, which removed the clip shortly before Twitter froze the campaign's account. Both companies have policies that forbid sharing misleading information about the pandemic that could cause people harm.

On the other hand, researchers say about two 2,40,000 children in the United States are mildly infected with the coronavirus.
