Two Ex-Deputy CMs in open spat

Update: 2021-03-22 03:34 GMT
Both were deputy chief ministers under KCR in the TRS 1.0. Both represented the same constituency and were always in the opposite camps. But this time around, they are in the same party. Yet, the rivalry refuses to die. On Sunday, the two ex-deputy CMs hurled invectives at one another and called the other names. Their ugly spat is now the talk of the town.

Former deputy CM Kadiyam Srihari has a long-standing rivalry with Dr Rajaiah, who too was a deputy CM for some time. Both represented Station Ghanpur constituency in the former Warangal district. In 2018 elections, KCR gave the ticket to Rajaiah as Srihari was an MLC. Now Srihari's term is over and has no post of any consequence. But the rivalry is continuing. On Sunday, Kadiyam called Rajaiah corrupt to the core and accused him of selling away party posts. Not to be undone, Rajaiah called Kadiyam a worthless fellow. This open spat by two deputy CMs has left the people of the constituency shocked.

Sources say that the real reason for the outburst is that Kadiyam wants ticket for his daughter Kavya in the 2023 elections and finds Rajaiah a thorn in the flesh. Rajaiah wants the TRS ticket again. This battle for one-upmanship has spilled into the public domain with each one calling the other names. Is KCR watching all these sordid dramas?
