Britain Court Shock To Vijay Mallya

Update: 2018-06-16 06:52 GMT
Liquor King Vijay Mallya received a huge blow.   Vijay Mallya defaulted thousands of crores to Indian banks and escaped to Britain.  Recently, Britain High Court gave a shock to Mallya.  The court has ordered Vijay Mallya to pay 2 lakh pounds(Rs.1.8 crores) to the consortium of 13 banks who are fighting for the recovery of credit given to Mallya companies.

The court said that this amount is paid towards the legal expenses the banks are incurring in Vijay Mallay case. Court has rejected the order to seize the properties of Mallya but ordered him to pay the legal expenses incurred by the banks.

On the other hand, Central Government is seriously trying to bring him back to India.  They have filed extradition petition for Vijay Mallya and the final arguments will be held in West Minister in the next month.   It is known that Vijay Mallya defaulted Rs. 9,000 crores to 13 banks led by SBI and escaped to the UK in 2016.
