Scientists Unearth A Tiny Molecule That Is Believed To Neutralize COVID-19 Virus

Update: 2020-09-16 10:00 GMT
In the light of the world finding it difficult to combat the ongoing pandemic originated from the dragon country China, a team of scientists has claimed that they discovered a tiny antibody that can neutralize the SARS-CoV-2 virus which in turn causes the COVID-19.

A group of researchers, including Indian origin Sriram Subramanian of the University of British Columbia in Canada, discovered an antibody, Ab8  which is believed to possess the ability to prevent the SARS-CoV-2.

When tested on mice and hamsters the tiny molecule, Ab8, turned out to be effective in preventing and treating the  SARS-CoV-2 kind of virus.

If we have to take anything from the study that was published in a medical journal, the researchers have secluded a tiny molecule that can neutralize the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

This new development comes at the right moment when the researchers are testing the convalescent plasma as a potential treatment to cure the patients who contacted the virus.

The new tiny molecule isolated by the group of researchers that possess antibodies to neutralize the SARS-CoV-2 kind of virus would also play a vital role in stopping the people from contacting the virus.
